I know we've heard a lot about this already. But the discussion tonight was pretty good. Worth a listen.
LOL how the CHGO folks about crapped with this comparison of Matt Eberflus to legendary coach John Wooden who won 10 championships in 12 seasons. People are definitely getting excited about the Bears championship future now... could this Bears hype train get any bigger?

The only thing Wooden about Flus is the way he coaches.

... so you're saying we won't win 10 Super Bowls over the next 12 years? I'm gonna let the hype train folks know right away. But I'm not expecting too many to hop off

I'm guessing they have a ticket level below coach in India. Like an open air super economy ticket. They tried that in Japan on the bullet train, but they kept losing passengers and the guys that walk around collecting tickets never were able to collect any.
Brock Bowers is definitely on the table in the 9-15 range
We could definitely do worse. I'm a little surprised that no team has announced a trade at this point. It's less than 2 days out. I get most trades are done when on the clock but usually one or two big ones are done before the draft starts.

LOL, on a side note, I used to live in Japan (for a few years), a long time ago. I rode those bullet trains. It was impressive that they had that level of ground transportation over 50 years ago when I was there. Fast-forward to Illinois in 2024 and it's still a crap shoot getting from Bloomington (where we now live) to Chicago (by air or Amtrak). We just got back from a California trip that was a white knuckle experience (went through Dallas from St Louis and it was a pitiful experience of late planes, a plane that mechanically had to be pulled to be fixed... another that "was" fixed and we flew on it late. Coming back through O'Hare we were late and worried we were going to miss our connecting flight due to being about an hour late out of California (that flight was late too)... but the guy seated next to us said we shouldn't worry (he worked for a major airline and flew this particular flight all the time as a passenger... he said "this flight is NEVER on time.
The dude was right. My wife and I almost had heart attacks running to the connecting flight's gate. We got there and were told don't worry - the pilots had not shown up to fly the plane yet so nobody had even boarded. 30 mintutes later the pilot and co-pilot were running up to the gate like their underwear was on fire... they gave a wave to the gate people as they ran onto the plane. We all shuffled on to the plane and the door was open so I could see the cockpit from my aisle seat... those dudes were slapping buttons and flipping switches so fast I thought we were goners for sure - they closed the door to the cockpit and away we went. Holy moly.
Japan was ahead of us 50 years ago. And it wasn't even close.
EDIT: I do like flying Southwest non-stop from St Louis airport to Hobby in Houston. That is our go-to way to and from Houston to visit our son and his family there now.

A guy with great hands and excellent route running skills who's 245 and runs 4.48?

Yeah, I could get on board with that.
I've been warming up on Bowers for a while. If you look at the various analyses of Waldron's style of offense and play calling. He will use 2 and 3 TEs in the offense. And he likes to show an offensive set that looks like one style of play and gives the QB an option of calling an audible for exploiting a match-up problem for the defense. If he thinks he can someone with Bowers' speed and athleticism in a route being covered by a linebacker, it could be a lot of fun to watch.
