Every Throw and Run by Caleb Williams in 2023

A couple of things that I think make him special, as far as his passing are how he makes the throws look effortless.  So fluid and easy.  And his mechanics are not like some of our past QBs who have a longer windup throwing motion.  When CW wants to pull the trigger he gets the ball out quick from any angle.  Boom.  It's out.  This is different than the "holding the ball too long" thing.  Certainly he extends plays with his feet, holding onto the ball trying to find an open receiver.  But he is a guy who sees the field well and gets the ball out efficiently once he pulls that trigger.  I like the touch he has on the ball too.  It sure looks like a highly catchable ball. 

The big negative is that he needs to learn how to protect the ball better.  Limit the turnovers.  But then again, he only had 5 ints with 30 TDs - a passer rating of 117.4 this season.  He has fumbled 8 times this past season and 3 the year before (LINK).  He has to clean that up.
