2 teams get A+ grade for offseason. Bears & Lions.

+1,000 to that.  The other division teams are not stuck in 2023.  They are adding talent too.  The wild card in the Bears hand could be (key word is "could" not saying it "will" happen) is the new Bears QB1.  If this guy ends up being the best QB in the division then that might be the game changer for us enabling the Bears to overcome the other teams.  I'm not saying it's all about the QB.  It's not.  But it sure is a key piece of the puzzle.  As recently pointed out.  The Bears did beat the Lions last year and should have swept them (came close).  We gotta just hope Caleb lives up to the hype here.  

I especially agree with that statement, "the trick is to be able to do it every year."  Lots of moving parts in building a great team.

And I believe Green Bay is a great example of how you sustain success (most years) when you understand how to recognize QB talent, and support that guy once you bring him into your franchise with supporting talent.  In the modern NFL - if you get this offense right - then sustained winning is the outcome.  It is not just a "draft a new guy" thing.  It is understanding how to support that guy once you have him on your roster.  In the modern NFL if you can't get the QB1 thing right - you are screwed.

I am so hoping the Bears get it right this time.  I think that with Warren/Poles/Eberflus here, that they "get it" and will do right by Caleb Williams.

BIH, I was thinking that this morning.  They "make their own luck" with this.  Is there a luck element to football?  Sure.  But to a certain extent you make your own luck by putting your franchise into a position where "luck happens" - and we will see if the Bears have learned how to do this.  Obviously we can't change past failures here in Chicago.  But hopefully this time around the Bears get it right.  Finally.

I think most of us (if not all of us here) don't blame everything on a single factor.  There can be multiple contributing factors to success or failure.  And personally I don't think the book is necessarily closed on Fields or Young.  Not yet.  But we'll see.
