Gotcha...makes more sense. Yeah on the video you can see the fake occurs 5 yards behind LOS. Either way, my point remains about seeing Peppers in a wide 9 and adjusting protection. To me thats on the the QB.
Thanks for the input, and I would agree, if the QB is responsible for that call out he needs to be held accountable for not making it.
Interesting that the Bears struggle w/the wide 9, wonder what it is about that scheme, and I wonder if it happens b/c the QB's are dropping to far back, which makes me wonder if they aren't recognizing it at all.
Yeah...i don't know. We saw it earlier in the year with Massie, and now the Packers used it on Leno. It's tough to have the tackle go 1 on 1 in that situation so someone is F'ing something up, and it might be a collective thing...who knows. I mean they all watch film...so someone whether it be player or coach has to see it and bring it to light...right?
"Howard went over 1,000 yards in the loss. He carried 17 times (think offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains can get him a 20-carry game in the next two weeks?) for 90 yards and now has 1,059 yards on the season. I’ve always thought the mark of a nice season for a running back is 1,200 yards and that’s certainly within reach for Howard, who is 141 yards away. The game also put Howard over 5.0 yards per carry on the season. He’s at 5.0189 right now and that’s as impressive as anything. The last primary back for the Bears that averaged above 5.0 was Walter Payton, who was at a whopping 5.5 during his 1977 season."
I don't understand why - when the game was on the line in regulation and we were on the goal line - we didn't go 4-downs with Howard running the ball two plays. Instead, we end up with an incomplete pass, a FG & left plenty of time on the clock for Aaron Rodgers to beat us.
