That's where a stout defense is a rookie QB's friend.  Caleb was trying to overcome 40 and 50 point opponent's scoring last year (34.9ppg average scored against them).  He had a horrible OL and a horrible defense.  He should be stepping into a much better situation here on the Bears.  At least I hope so.  

I agree that when he does struggle in some games this rookie year (not if, but when) the meatballs will be leaping off the ledges saying he's a bust.  I have zero doubt of that.  Hopefully, the majority of the Bears fans will not be meatballs.  

I would agree.

I'm expecting CW to have normal rookie struggles and growing pains but Flus & Waldron can't start out horribly like he did last year.  People have already forgotten that our 7-10 record last year was a little deceiving.  We had the weakest schedule ever and played a slew of garbage QBs.  We won several games scoring only 1 TD and won 1 game 12-10 on 4 FGs.  

Both the HC and the OC have a lot to prove IMO.  I wanna see a real NFL offense and I'm sick of excuses.

We can't help it. We've been conditioned by this team over the years (like fans of most losing teams) to expect the worst and only see any situation as already halfway to spectacular failure. I'm as guilty of this as the next person. When a writer on theathletic said that based on Bears' history any decision they were going to make between Fields-Williams-trade down would be the only wrong one out of the three I nodded my head and said...yep, 100% true.

But, I'm trying to get better!
