He ranks the top-9 quarterbacks in this draft. He has Caleb Williams at the top. He's not a fan of the McCaskey franchise and was critical of ownership. Wasn't over the top on our talent on offense. He seems to think the offense needs "more" for success here, changing the woes of the past decades of failures. That's my take on it anyway. This is not behind a paywall. Give it a view and let us know what your take on it is.
Personally, this reinforces the belief that the #9 pick needs to be used (no trade down). It needs to bring in a blue chip offense player.

If all three WRs and Alt is gone, who would be that offensive player? Most people seem to think Bowers is not good enough for a 9 pick. (I am not sure. I just don't know how good he is) You would have the pick of the top D player in several categories. Or a trade down

I think Odunze is the only blue possibly available at #9. If he’s gone, I’d try to trade down for a pale blue + second round pick.

Good point. Hopefully though, we get one of those 3 WRs or Alt at 9. Surely there will be at least 1 defense player taken in the top 8 this year. And surely we will see 4 quarterbacks taken in the top 8. I wonder if the Bears would trade up in this draft... I noticed they had Marvin Harrison Jr for a visit... probably means nothing, but you never know.

I don't watch any College ball games and I am going by what I have read but I would be okay with a trade back IF the top 3 WRs and Alt is gone. BUT If Bowers if grabbed I'd be okay with that too. I trust in Poles to get the best we can either on O or the other side of the ball.

I mean who is a fan of the McCaskeys? Maybe Packers & Vikings fans.

For whatever reason the really great game changing TEs in the NFL have not been taken in the 1st round. Not Kelce, nor Mark Andrews, nor George Kittle & before them not Gronkowski.

Didnt’t know that. Interesting
+1 And a lot of the great WRs were not 1st round picks either. Even those playing at a Hall of Fame level. Here are some of the better guys playing WR right now, who were not 1st round picks: Keenan Allen was a 3rd round pick. Tyreek Hill a 5th round pick. Cooper Kupp, 3rd round. Davante Adams, 2nd round. Stefon Diggs, 5th round. Nico Collins 3rd round. Puka Nacua is a 5th rounder. A.J. Brown 2nd round guy. There are wide receivers in the Hall of Fame that were not even drafted at all... my fav is Steve Largent who played 14 seasons in the NFL. I used to love watching him play (LOL, I'll bet old davidl has him as one of his all time favorites too).
I think we get fixated on the 1st round as the only place we can get great players (that's me too... I get thinking this subconsciously and forget that a great player can come out of this current draft at that 3rd or 4th round pick this year).
