Houston offered a 3rd round pick in 2025, and Poles got him for a 4th in this year's draft. Even if it is a 1 year deal (and it might not be) I still like the move. I just feel like that rookie year for a franchise QB is priceless as he transitions to the NFL - it's really a huge transition for a college QB to make. KA is one of the best route runners in the entire NFL and a mighty nice weapon for Caleb to have this first year. Hope we can sign him for an extra couple of years too.

According to ESPN, the Houston Texans and New York Jets showed interest in Allen

Good one's also cost a shit ton in free agency...which is another reason to continually draft them.

But, getting serious here for a minute, "rookies are gonna rookie" that first year. And they are still trying to climb that steep learning curve the 2nd season too. It's not just a WR thing but a player thing. There are some exceptions to this but not too many. I firmly (totally) expect some Bears fans will be on social media calling Caleb Williams a bust - about 3 or 4 games into his career, this rookie season when (not "if" but "when") he has a bad game or even struggles a bit. It is just how the meatballs roll in Chicago.

This should be Braxton Jones year to become a dominant LT!

At least we should know his ceiling this 3rd season. His floor seems to a Leno-level guy (and that's a decent level for an average LT). But I am hoping he ends up being above average. I'll take that.
