But more importantly what Center is Poles going to draft? JPJ Van Pran Frazier Bartolini Limmer Or the big kid from Duke I've seen each predicted to have a shot at 3rd/4th rd or earlier. I dont remember a draft class having depth at center.

I'm torn on this. I agree he should draft a C, but only has 4 picks. He definitely might trade down, but I am no longer convinced he will draft a C. He might just stay pat this year which what he got in FA and see if he needs to next year.

I've been reminding myself that some needs will probably need to be fully addressed in 2025. They will get a partial upgrade this year but not the ultimate long-term fix until next year. Center might be one of these situations. Personally, in this year's draft, I am hoping we don't "reach" for a position fix. I hope the Bears do draft the best talent at each pick. I believe that is how you build a championship team. Us fans want it all and we want it all now. But that's not the best way to build a championship team. Poles is highly disciplined. Fans? Not so much.

I do hope Poles grabs a young C in this draft as there are several good ones and the Bears could let him learn as a backup to then take over in 25. Rookie Centers are seldom good. Heck, rookies are seldom good. I also agree with JABF about not reaching taking bpa. But I hope the draft falls in a way that one of the Centers Poles has his sites on ends up being there, wherever that is. I trust in Poles especially when it comes to offense lineman!

I’m hoping we somehow draft a center as I’m not convinced we’ve vastly improved ourselves over last season. Are better? Yes. Is what we have the best we can do for a rookie qb1? Don’t think so….

I'll bet the Bears are not finished with support for Caleb. I do believe the offense is vastly improved, but the Bears know they are not finished yet. Getting Caleb Williams, Keenan Allen, Gerald Everett, D'Andre Swift, Coleman Shelton & Ryan Bates are 6 players on offense that should make the team better. Darnell Wright should be much much better now that he's got a year under his belt at tackle. And I do expect Braxton Jones to be better this year too. I honestly do. If the Bears add a key piece in the draft on top of all of that then this should be the best offense we have seen in Chicago in years.

4 of the 6 are skill positions and don’t necessarily improve our oline. Are we potentially a better offense? We are if we can keep our line from being a revolving door. We need to keep our qb1 upright and not running for his life and setting him up to fail.
