(1) Explain Why I Do/Don’t Root For The Laundry
(2) Do I root for “our” players who move on/get cut/get traded to other teams than the Packers?
(3) Is somebody who chooses to play in Green Bay forever dead to you, or can they redeem themselves in later years?

(1) Explain Why I Do/Don’t Root For The Laundry
I root for the laundry. Players come and go and until the Bears leave the state, I cheer for them. Been that way since I watch the first Bears game I can remember: Terry Bradshaw and the Steelers fresh off a SB playing Mike Phipps and the Bears.
(2) Do I root for “our” players who move on/get cut/get traded to other teams than the Packers?
Weirdly, only if I feel they weren't appreciated/respected by the fan base. Otherwise, I don't care. I follow ex-Bears like I follow 49ers, not too closely. There are a few players who I felt did something....'wrong' in how they left and I tracked them just to laugh at their misfortune.

Depends. Depends on how they act once they got there. AAmos turned into a douche once he got there with his comments about the Bears, so I rooted against him.
The article mentions CConte. I felt bad for CConte immediately after "the game." He blew the assignment and it cost the Bears a playoff spot. I think the Trestman debacle might have had a different ending if they had won that game. But then he rushed out of the locker room (understandable) and refused to talk to the press (again understandable). However, he needed at some point to address the play and he never did. It rolled over into the next season when he took a poor angle and then was stiff armed into the stands by a RB from the Bills on another play that sealed a loss. At that point poor fan behavior took over and he was done in Chicago. But then, in Tampa he celebrated a pick-6 and badmouthed the city. From then on, I actively rooted against him. Only ex-Bear I've ever done that to.
