I've seen a bunch of social media posts about the pending release of Eddie Jackson, and I just saw the following on YouTube. I don't know if it is a rumor or not, but he does have a pretty large cap hit and his best days are behind him.

The author if the video says that it is very likely that Whitehair will also get released and between the two it means that we will have just under $69 million in cap room.
Looks like JJ will get resigned, for sure. And it will give us room to sign a couple of veteran FA starters as soon as FA opens up after the SB.

Penned this moves months ago. There was no alternative.

Absolutely expected and the only question is whether the cut will be posted as either Pre or Post 6/1 to save a bit more for this year. But in the end I expect it to be a Pre 6/1 cut.

Apparently, there was a recent rule change on this, and a team can release a player early (at the beginning of the league year March 13) and have it be treated as a post June 1 cut. Limit of two players per team per year. There are a lot of details as to why a player would be a pre-June 1 or a post-June 1 cut.
I am not totally conversant with BoJack's contract so I'll wait for the formal announcement in about a month to find out exactly what the cap ramifications are.
