This game is bigger than most realize. If the Packers win, they tie up the all time series record. They haven't been tied or had the lead since 1933.
funny you mention that. Your right. But this game is important for bigger reasons than that. Green Bay needs to win out in order to win the division and make the playoffs. The problem is Rodgers has two bad legs. It is going to be really freaking cold at Soldier Field on Sunday. Not the kind of whether you want to play with a torn hamstring and torn calf. Some major damage could be done to those muscles in that weather. If I were the Packers I'd let the Bears think they'd be playing a hobbled Rodgers all week. Then on Sunday I'd start the backup Brett Hundley, an extremely mobile quarterback, and keep Rodgers in reserve just in case. Green Bay has to win this game and Minnesota. They need Detroit to lose to either the Giants or Dallas in the next two weeks. Entirely possible. Then all the marbles will be on the line in week 16 at Ford Field. None of that matters if Rodgers completely tears something at Soldier Field on Sunday.
I didn't catch the Packers vs Seahawk game. What happen to Rodgers legs?

He couldn't run at the start of the game.. he was playing on a bad left hamstring. Third play of the game he tore his right calf. After that he couldn't walk. So he stayed in the shutgun and beat the Seahawks defense like a narc at a biker rally. I'd take a chance with Hundley and keep Rodgers in reserve given the frigid conditions.
If the Bears don't run the ball at least 30 times I'm going to be pissed. Howard needs 25 with Langford and Carey getting another 15 combined. Bears need to win the time of possession battle.
