The fact that he only got a 1 year deal when teams across the league are looking for pass rushers AND it came from the Saints who are a bottom 1/2 team tells you there was not a lot on interest in what Young brings to the table. Pretty sure Sweat was asked about Young. Wonder what his honest opinion was.
Martin and Cowart are about 2 injuries from making the team out of camp.
LINK "The former Titans starter is 36 and under normal circumstances someone with 151 starts and a 91.2 passer rating can't be signed for bargain rates. However, Spotrac.com has him projected now for just $4.9 million in the late market. Tannehill's experience is far better than anything a team could normally expect for that kind of money."
You know.... I actually think he was. I should change that to just signed by the Browns
LOL, I was thinking Poles is even MORE of a genius than I thought... he's figured out how to trade players he doesn't have under contract. That's even better than the Kevin Warren's playing of the City of Chicago against Arlington Heights thing... trading guys you don't own? No problem. Poles can do anything :-)
On a related note, I was reading about the Browns RB's and came across this regarding Nick Chubb... sounds like the guy has some serious medical issues:
LINK Foreman will join a committee that includes Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. as star running back Nick Chubb isn't expected to be ready for the start of the 2024 season after a devastating injury to his left knee in Week 2 last season.
Chubb underwent two surgeries: the first to repair the medial capsule, meniscus and MCL in late September, and the second to repair the ACL in November. The injured knee was the same one Chubb had reconstructed after tearing his MCL, PCL and LCL while at Georgia in 2015.
