So I watched Waldron’s latest press conference today. He doesn’t believe in having a system and drafting players to fit your system. He says he adapts the system to the skills of the players. The other thing I noticed is that a reporter asked him to say something about Caleb Williams, and he ducked the question. I’m sure he’s seen the tape and has opinions, but he’s not talking.
Hey, he stole that line from Getsy! I'll believe it when I see it...

I am seeing a lot of mocks where the top three WRs are gone at 9. I do not put any stock in mocks as they are just one persons fantasy, but interesting that a lot of people think they will be gone.
Can't wait to see what we do in FA, as that will more clearly provide a roadmap as to what they will be going for in the draft.

I keep coming back to the fact that the modern NFL is set up for the passing game. Teams (unless they are idiots like the Bears of the past) know you have to have the QB, WR and OL to sustain a great passing game. So, I would not count on one of the "Big Three" WR's being there at our #9 pick. My hope is that the Bears can at least get one of the 2nd-tier WR's in this draft. They won't be Tier-1 but they should be light-years better than what we now have (our WR room consists of 1 dude, DJ Moore) and some wannabees. Gotta fix that.

The WR group is deep this year. Poles shouldn’t go crazy with the speed-only guys like V. Jones. I still want a great route runner slot receiver, and he doesn’t have to be tall, 4.4 guy like Claypool.
