I think anyone trying to say that these CB's have done anything special, let alone good, is incredible. I'm fully aware that they are trying to play DB's that are late rounders/udfa, and you are seeing what happens when you draft like that at on group.

That is a good article. They point out that our pass D is now the #6th best in the entire NFL.

+1 Thanks for posting. It has been a brutal season for us fans, and I know we are all pretty sad about how it all turned out this year. But there are some positives that point to us being a better team soon. Like next year, soon.
When we first hired Pace and Fox there were a number of people on the old board that talked about quick turnarounds that have happened to past teams who were rebuilding. That wasn't in the cards for us because our talent level was just too low (at least I think so).
But here's the deal. I think that talent level may be one last draft and FA away from having one of those "big turnarounds" that folks were pointing to initially when Pace and Fox arrived. I watch a game like yesterday's and see how our coaches have taken a team of backup quality players (playing due to injuries everywhere on this team) - some signed off the street mid-season (like Barkley) and have performed surprisingly well. Just think about what this team will be like next season when we have everyone healthy AND we have another Pace draft and free agency period.
The coaching staff deserves some credit for making chicken salad out of chicken shit this year. Next year is going to be a good one. You can feel it. It's coming.

I think they overrating certain aspects of the Defense we are solidly in the middle as far as points allowed. I see improvement which is nice but they still have a ways to go. The biggest one is turnovers. They just aren't getting any. We're at the bottom of the league. That needs to change before I start feeling comfortable with this D.

The only person we seem to get turn overs from is Stafford, and they only get to play him 2x's a year.
Gotta agree the Def is very middling, and lacks playmakers at DB.
