Now what happens at the end of the season? Do we keep Flus with the order of replacing the OC? I mean the team looks like it is starting to click besides the stales on the O side. Ultimately it falls on the head coach BUT could this harm us next season with a new HC and a team that really wants the old one whom they believe in the system? Can a HC be demoted to DC with out any players revolting?

I know. The team does seem like it is finally beginning to click. The original plan from our fan perspective here, was to begin the rebuild in 2023 and then add to that in 2024. Almost every single person here predicted a 7 or 8 win season. I think that when the season finally ends we will see that the plan has unfolded pretty much as we predicted. The team was crap in the early games but got better as the season progressed. It looks like one of those "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" kind of things.
Is everything going great? Heck no.
But it does look like the team is heading in the right direction according to plan. I could just see the Bears firing people and letting Fields go - and then get a worse HC and a bust at QB1. I'm not at all on the Caleb fan wagon.

The latest consensus mock draft has Bears taking Williams #1 and Nabers #7. If Poles is “blown away” by Williams (or Maye), he might trade Fields. Nabers is an excellent WR, but Flus will be lobbying for DL.

HC cannot be demoted to DC! Its like asking your wife to stick around as a backup, while u re-marry.

HC cannot be demoted to DC! Its like asking your wife to stick around as a backup, while u re-marry.
