Bears beat Lions - who gets the game ball?

I voted entire d. Interception ( a couple almost interceptions - not sure if that's a + or -), better coverage and tackling .

If ever there was a team win I think this was it.  Lots of contributing plays that added up for the win.  I'm watching the game as I type this (recorded it) and if I had to give the game ball to just one guy I'd give it to Justin Fields.  Yes, his mechanics are not consistent at times but he throws a beautiful pass when he does have the good footwork and mechanics.  Get this guy Marvin Harrison Jr to pair with DJ Moore - and a pretty decent Kmet - and the best C on that IOL, and I think we will see one hell of a good offense in 2024.  If a coach can't win with Fields and an upgraded O then he can't win period.  There is some legit talent on this team.  Good, ascending young talent.  But the roster isn't completed.  We know that.  We need a solid 2024 draft and FA.  And I believe that will happen.  Get that Harrison Jr dude for sure.  Add one more elite DL guy.  Get a Center on that OL who will elevate the play of the entire IOL unit too.  Fields isn't the problem on this team.  The OC is a big problem.  The unfinished rebuild is still an issue.  That's "it" in a nutshell.

This year we had 30 new players on our roster.  New guys everywhere.  We are very young/new.  But next year these new guys will not be new guys anymore  - and consequently we will not only have an opportunity to draft some crazy-good additional talent (like Harrison Jr), we will have the young guys like Wright with a year's NFL experience under their belt.  We beat a good team today.  Almost beat 'em a few weeks ago too.  On top of that, the improvement in this team from the beginning of this season until now has been very satisfying to watch.  But obviously there is work to do in 2024.  I know I will sound like a meatball here (and I probably am) but I thing that 2025 Super Bowl ready team we've talked about, is possible if we quit tearing things down (like letting Fields walk) and just build the roster with some great additional talent in 2024 and 2025.  At some point you quit the tearing down stuff and actually build on the good stuff you already have.  Keep the good.  Get rid of the remaining bad & we will be one heck of a good team.  

It was a very hard-hitting physical game too.  Playoff intensity.  These two teams really went at it bigtime today.  It will be interesting to see the first injury report for both teams this week.  I think we may have a number of banged up guys.
