It grades on a five-tier grading system, ranking each rep as Great, Good, Fine, Poor, or Bad. Then it uses these tiers to generate the final grades and block success rates through 10 games of play. While no grading system is perfect (far from it) it's interesting to read this all the same.
LINK Blocking Bears: Ranking the Offensive Line Through Week 10 Discover how the Bears' offensive line is stacking up in our exclusive rankings after Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season. Who's paving the way for success, and who needs to step up?
Through 10 games, the Chicago Bears' best five offensive linemen are Teven Jenkins, Braxton Jones, Nate Davis, Darnell Wright, and Lucas Patrick. And wouldn't you know it? That is EXACTLY who will be starting on Sunday against the Detroit Lions. The Bears have not had the luxury of all five starting offensive linemen playing a game together this season. So, Bears fans, we have that going for us. Plus, the Bears finally get Justin Fields back.
Interesting that it has Jenkins and Brax as the top-2 OL performers through 10 games. It is sad thought to see the data on Cody Whitehair. He's been a real solid OL for many seasons here. Team captain and seems like a good guy too. But his game is gone. It sure looks like he should retire at the end of this season.
Patrick and Whitehair really need to go at this point. Draft/sign their replacements in the offseason.
Brax surprising me though. We might not need to draft a stud LT when he's a very solid LT.
I agree. It would sure be sweet if the Bears see proof in these remaining 7 games that Brax and Fields are what we hoped they would be - solid starters. Not just "okay" players, but rock-solid players. I know the jury is still out on these two guys and they need to show they ARE the guys we need. But if they do that, then that 2024 draft is gonna be epic good for us. Think of the possibilities. Harrison Jr., hop on the Bears bus. And we'd still have a super-high 1st round pick after that!!! Holy moly that would be sweet. It reminds me of our 1965 draft where the Bears had 2 first round picks and drafted two future Hall of Fame players. I would LOVE to see history repeat itself here.

It would be stupid to draft a tackle instead of DL with the second pick in first round.
Hopefully the Bears won't need to draft a T or QB1 - due to Brax and Fields showcasing they are studs in these final 7 games. Man, I am sooooooooooooooooooo hoping that is the case. Otherwise we're looking at QB1 and OT1 in that order with those first two picks. Forget the defense until those two positions are NAILED down rock solid. Sure, those who don't value the OL will disagree. But they will be the first people to bitch when the new QB1 fails due to OL woes. OL matters. LT matters. Hope Brax can be the guy.

Why all this anguish about Brax? I don’t get it. He has the best win rate in both pass and run. On the other end of the scale (Loss %) in pass protection— meaning Fields gets sacked and maybe injured — our worst linemen are Borom, Carter, and Wright.
