Why couldn't he play here? Hell, I'd just would have liked to see just ONE QUARTER if he had anything. I'd be hard pressed to think that he's worse than Patrick.

Kramer's snaps were 24% off-target. Patrick's were only 23%
Seriously, how bad do you have to be to be cut by this team as a C?
Eff me. Couldnt even give him a chance, but bring on the shitty pre-pension Lucas and Hair. Thats why ALL coaches have to leave, only think about themselves and now.

+1 And it sure looks like the Chicago Bears either:
1. Don't value the Center position on the OL. Or,
2. They are simply incompetent in acquiring a solid Center in the draft or FA.
I just don't "get it" that the C position doesn't get more/better attention here with the Chicago Bears. It's like an afterthought position. It is a position that could easily give the BEST return on investment if they would invest a 2nd round draft pick there - it would elevate the entire interior OL play for the next decade here. These guys (stud centers) often play well into their mid-30s age wise. I would argue that few (if any) positions return THAT much ROI. Why wouldn't you spend a 2nd round pick there? Since we don't have a second round pick next year, then surely invest a 3rd round pick, right? And don't slap some tired ass veteran (I can smell that coming next year). Just Lucas Patrick-II coming. It is a damned shame the way the Bears do these things. Build a great OL and prosper. The Bears only two Super Bowl appearances in their history - had GREAT centers: perennial Pro Bowl centers, Jay Hilgenberg anchored that 1985 Bears offensive line and had a stellar 13 year career. And Olin Kreutz was our center for the 2006 Super Bowl team, and had 13 great NFL seasons also. Both men were voted as being in the "100 Greatest Chicago Bears Players of All Time" spanning a century of Bears football. That Center position is the very "heart and soul" of a great OL.

From when? I don't recall Kramer ever getting any regular season snaps.
I sure would have liked to have seen what he had. Cardinals had their two centers go down with injury, so it makes sense they snagged him.

The snap thing was a joke. What's a bigger joke is that team has been having major snap issues for years and can't seem to fix it.
+1 I just don't get it. Getting a solid C isn't that tough (nothing like getting a solid franchise QB). All I can think is that they believe any old JAG is fine there. And it's not like you need a top first round pick to get a guy of high quality - a guy who can anchor that IOL for a decade or more. The position should have been fixed long ago. Invest a 2nd round pick and you'll get one of the best C's in the draft... maybe even THE best C in that draft. Yet every year we have the same old crap with a weak center. Makes ZERO sense to me.
