I'm sure hoping we see Fields and Braxton Jones playing again. The Tyson Bagent diversion was fine, but now let's see these 9 games of Fields. Even if we trade him at the end of the year and draft a new guy, it will be in the Bears' best interests to have Fields looking good in these games so we get a better trade deal for him. I think he's probably a goner here in Chicago. But gotta play these final 9 to make sure about him.
Bagent looks like what he is - a backup at best. Nothing wrong with that if he can be a solid backup. Gotta have one of those too in 2024.
Brax needs to prove in these final 9 games that he is solid at LT. If not then the Bears will know that they need to get a solid LT in 2024.
I'm thinking that President/CEO Kevin Warren will be watching these final 9 games and making up his mind about who stays in 2024, if any - as far as these coaches. And maybe GM too. I guess my point is that these final 9 games (that's a lot of football) matter a lot. And we should have fun talking all of this out as the season continues - even with a crappy team.

Just call me Negative Nancy but I want all loses to get at least our 2 picks in the top 4, hopefully one of them #1. Fire everyone and start again because the the McIncompetants aren't going anywhere. Warren has to show real stones now to RESTORE ANY SEMBLANCE OF RESPECT & CREDIBILITY. We are truly the bottom of the barrel laughing stock of the NFL.

I'd be fine with that. I guess I would add that I personally want to watch a few of these players in the final 9 games - to see what we have, or don't have in them. Braxton Jones is one. Fields is another... even if we trade him, I want to see him do well enough to get us decent trade value for him. Every little bit of draft/FA power is needed as we move forward in 2024 and beyond. I'm already focusing on that. Can't change what is in the past. But we SURE can be interested in a better future. And I 100% believe we have "The Guy" in this President/CEO Keven Warren - the guy who can finally lead us out of this hole we've been in for decades here. This isn't Ted Phillips. This Warren guy seems like a winner to me. I am so thankful he is here and Ted is out.

No. I won't call you negative Nancy, that's motm's name . But I agree with everything else.
I would trade fields to the Vikings and run with bagent. Flus and company must be put on an Amtrak train out of the Midwest ASAP. Can we at least return fLuke G to the peckers and get a refund?
Oh, right, this is the saints game thread. Chalk up another loss to fluster and company.

Just to finish this season long rant, is someone from the press ever going to Georgie to STFU when he says "Mom & I are pissed"? 😡😡😡

Hahaha. They may be pissed but they're laughing all the way to the bank. But I'm not part of that, I stopped buying bears gear 20 some years ago. Except for a fleece blanket that I wrap my drink cooler with. It's a reminder to not let them fleece me anymore.
If ANY of these coaches are kept... im gonna skip next year. These guys are horrible, high school coaches at best.
Couldn't agree more.
Yes, Warren was brought in mainly to get a stadium deal done. The team sucking badly like it has lately makes that job much more difficult. How much negotiating leverage does he have with municipalities when the product he's selling looks so dysfunctional and uncompetitive?
Very little
If I am Keven Warren, I call a meeting with Poles in early January maybe final week or two of the season and I ask him to lay out his plans starting with Black Monday. Two possible outcomes (we will know the final outcome on JF1 by then):
If Poles tells him he plans to replace the coaching staff and lays out a reasonable vision for FA and the draft, I pat him on the back, tell him I agree, and say "go do it".
Anything else, and particularly anything that involves running back the same coaching staff with a new QB, and I add Poles' name to the dismissal letter I already have saved on my computer for Flus/Getsy. "Send on Black Monday at 9 am"

Agreed, except Warren should be having that discussion with Poles now. Maybe work something beneficial out before the trade deadline. If Poles plans suck, Warren needs to know now.
