Lions beat Bears in close game - who gets the deflated ball?

I agree what's the value .... but he's fast , like extra fast , fast , and ST's coaches get a boner when they see guys like this and find a place for them - sure shouldn't be counted on to catch a fb though .

My issue isn't with his value on ST per se. I understand the S/WR/CB/LBs make the bottom of the roster because they can play ST. In fact, under Lovie STs were so important that Toub got to make bottom of the roster decisions based on ST. Trestman stopped that practice which was one major reason why STs cratered after Toub left. So Bellamy has value.

But, if he is being forced onto the field due to circumstances outside of his control, isn't it up to the coaching staff to find a street WR who can bring more value as a WR and look for ways to keep Bellamy on the roster as a STer? Instead, they (Fox/Loggains) keep running Bellamy out there and getting the same result. At what point in this season (considering all the injuries at WR, the suspension, White..etc) does his inability to catch outweigh his ability to run downfield on a punt/kick? 

Football is a team game yet there are individual plays where player make a mistake that directly contributes to a win or a lose. Like in all sports, plays at the end of close games are more important than plays earlier in the game. Players that are 'clutch' seem to come through at the end of games. Bellamy? Resting on his shoulders are two catches he should have had to directly contributed to losses.

I've already conceded his value on STs.

But now, he's not the end/back of the roster anymore. He's what..the 2nd WR behind Meredith? With Jeffery coming back he hopefully gets his OFF snaps reduced. I'm realizing my issue isn't with Bellamy as much as it is with Fox/Loggains who despite seeing the drops, keep running him out there on OFF and don't seem to be interested in bringing or looking for other options at WR. Again, despite his value on ST, his role on OFF is to catch the ball.If he can't do that, find another WR. 

riczaj01 Off the cuff answer? In hind sight, Pace/Fox would have moved to get a WR when injuries started piling up. That way, your 4/5th WRs who you were carrying on the roster not as a WR but as a STers wouldn't be put into the position of having to play meaningful snaps on OFF. Instead, FO + coaching made the decision to put games in the hands (opps no pun intended) of a WR who can't catch. Not Bellamy's fault in the end, but still...damn..catch the ball!!
