It's not just QBs in the draft not wanting to come here. Even if the Bears offer big money, a player and his agent have to consider the future financial impact of killing a career here. We gotta get a solid O coach and O-Coordinator. And if Fields doesn't turn it around bigtime - starting tonight - then we gotta hope a top QB will come here (sounds like Caleb Williams may return to school for another year if he's gonna be drafted by the Bears).

Perhaps the Bears will land the No. 1 pick and select USC's Caleb Williams. That might be enticing for free agent wide receivers looking to go to a big market. For now, though, there are still question marks about the future of Chicago's passing game.
ya no shit. a team that consistently puts the def before all other things and refuses to, on a regular basis, put the O first and build around a qb, is poison for offensive players.
Today at noon, the sky is blue, and water is wet, and Chicago in the winter is cold and shitty.
Rex/Orton/Griese, just run the ball, let the def and ST's win, don't f it up. Cutler under Lovie, don't turn the ball over, let Def and St's win, and try and make Hester look like a good WR. Cutler under Trestman, okay lets get this O going, even as the entire def revolts against him b/c they fired their HC, I'm sure everything will be fine.... Mitch, lets build around this rookie, oh look a shiny K Mac toy for the def, lets trade away all our pick and FA money for a defensive piece, I'm sure the qb doesn't need help. Then we'll blame it on him, bring in FA QB's to show that the O is fine; ****, the O still sucks and they say it's the system and players? Shocking. Fields, hey we know we did Mitch dirty, don't worry, we are going to do you WAY WORSE.
Shocking WR's and QB's are worried about comging here.
