I want the Bears to win and for Barkley to show he can be a starting QB in the NFL.. But I wouldn't mind see the Loins win as long as the Bears make it good fight.
I could be wrong, but don't see the Bears winning this.
You're probably right. I just checked the depth chart to see who the next backup QB is - if the unspeakable happens and we lose our 4th stringer, Matt Barkley. It's got old Virginia McCaskey listed. Rumor has it that she has a better arm than Hoyer - but who hasn't?
Anyone know who's in and out for both Lions and Bears?
Won't know the full list until pre-game tomorrow BUT I read Deiondre Hall will be on the game day roster - not sure how many snaps he'll see. Eddie Royal is out.
I'm pretty excited about this game. Barkley's piques my interest in terms of running the offense. I think our OL is surprisingly good considering Long's out. I think we have an up and coming back who has me feeling optimistic and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they work in Cameron Meredith and Braverman now that Royal and potentially Bellamy are sitting for this game... and the D. OH MAN that D has me super pumped. D. Hall is making a return at DB - hoping he gets a lot of snaps so we can see him produce. Nick Kwiatoski and Timu are manning the middle - not as jazzed by Timu but still excited to see our LB depth go against a good team. We've got a mostly healthy D-Line rotation right now with Washington, GOldman, Hicks, and Unrein in there and short of Lamarr Houston, we've got everyone back in our OLB corp. That front group should create positive pass defense environments for our shoddy secondary, I'm excited to see if they can hold their own.
Good times. Seriously, without Cutler in there this is a new team to me and it has me looking toward the future. I can get down with that mainly because I don't have to feel so weighted down by the little faults - I can start seeing them as areas to improve.
Plus it's a division rivalry and we have the chance to sweep the fricking Lions who've made us their handmades the last few years.
