What do you think? The Lions are a red-hot team right now and have a 2-game lead in the NFCN over the Vikings and Green Bay. We beat them by 3 points early in the season when we still had most of our starters still playing. Can we do it again?
Just as I put in another thread...I think Detriot's defense clamps down hard on our offense and Barkley makes some stupid throws. Our own defense keeps it close early, but the Lions need no fourth quarter comeback this week.
A lot depends upon Barkley protecting the ball, and our WR's not having so many drops. My gut feeling is that Detroit will focus on stopping Howard, and making it a game where Barkley and these backup WR's will have to make enough plays to beat them.
The game could go either way.
I'll go with us winning 24-17 (and that is probably delusional Kool Aid thinking). But that's my prediction :-)

I see a big difference between this game and the one at Soldier Field being J Timu in place of J Freeman partnering NK at ILB. Given that Stafford is on a bit of a tear and Golden Tate is now playing well I can Bears being exposed by short stuff over the middle. Basically the 2015 season all over again.
I'm interested to see if the depth WRs can get separation as easily against the Lions secondary as they did against Titans and Niners. I think if they can the Offense can be effective. The Lions seem to be pretty decent against the run so the best we can hope for from the run game is that it at least makes them stack the box so that we can hit them with the pass.
Overall, if the WRs can get separation as well as the previous games then I can see the offense still being ok. I hope Fangio can scheme something to help our exposure at ILB but it will be no small amount of genius if he does.

Great point: the key matchup here is our young LBs and the short and intermediate receivers of da Roaring Lions. I think Floyd is gonna be asked to cover a lot more in this game.
