Most of you/all of you are gonna disagree, but I gave it to Fields. And before you say that I'm always too harsh on him - had we won this game I'd gladly given him the game ball. He's had an excellent game today and I wish he would play like that every week.
Coach Eberflus okayed the 4th down play. Yes.
Getsy's play calling in the second half was pretty bad. Yes.
The OL, especially Wright, wasn't able to protect Fields in crucial moments. Yes.
But ultimately, Fields was responsible for both turnovers that killed us today.

Based on what fields and kmet said, yes that int was on Fields. Kmet ran the play as it was supposed to be played, and Fields somehow decided he should do something different and threw the int.
No issues to anyone that feels Fields gets the deflated ball.
Other - Coaching & Fields. Flus and Getsy are not NFL coaching material. Yeah, Fields played well, then horribly, but who made the playcalls that ran up the gut on 4th and 1 when everybody in the stadium knew it was coming - again. And the defense couldn't get a stop when it counted (like all second half)? Nice half-time adjustments, coaches.
This game was like the other 13 losses that preceded it. It wasn't one failure but rather a lot of failures. There are failures on offense and defense & players and coaches. It is overly-simplistic to just point out one part of the Bears (or one player or one coach) and say that's what lost the game for us.
We have lost 14 games in a row now. Every single one has been the result of failures everywhere. A stupid penalty, missed block resulting in a blindside hit/fumble by the QB, missed tackle, horrible play call at a critical moment in a game, a game changing interception, offensive linemen whiffing repeatedly on blocks, Dline not getting pressure, blown coverage giving up the big play - and on and on and on it goes. If only it were so simple to point at one dude and blame him for one of these losses. For 14 games it has been failures that span the entire team.
And where are the playmakers on this team - the game changer players? There really isn't one. Maybe DJ Moore comes closest to one, but even he isn't a "great" player. We do not have a single All-Pro on this team. We don't even have a Pro Bowl player on this team... not even a 2nd team Pro Bowl guy. D.J. Moore has never been a Pro Bowler... and he's probably the closest thing we have to one.
How do you win with a team like that? You don't. Instead you watch gamedays like today. And yes, we will have two 1st round draft picks next year. Two. But we have 53 players on the roster (not saying we need 53 new guys, but you get the picture here). Do the math. How long will it take to upgrade an entire roster to a championship caliber roster? Just to get some perspective here. The Chiefs and Bills had 15 Pro Bowl players between them last year. 15. In the end you have to have real talent to win at that level. We've got nothing. Our GMs draft these "hope and a prayer" guys in later rounds and feel good that they overperform their draft position (a Mooney here, a Braxton Jones there) and figure that's good. It's not.
I'm sure this coaching staff will get flushed at the end of the season. Maybe Poles too. But that doesn't guarantee anything. We (at the present) are the Lions of past years... stuck in a nightmare cycle of failure that spans several GMs and HCs - and a small army of failed coordinators.
I guess my point is that we are light years from being competitive. We don't have the people in place. Anywhere. I could easily see us (like the Lions of old) being in the exact same failed situation a decade from now... sure, we will have cycled through more GMs and coaching staffs by then. But I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel now.
