Josh Lucas goes over why Trubisky was picked over Mahomes and Watson; didn't feel their skills and traits would translate to The NFL; Watson's accuracy was questionable, etc, etc.

Why Fields was so high on their boards; even though they felt he was so to process he was so athletically gifted they believed it would buy him time to get the mental side down and what not. These were just some of the things that stood out to me but it's interesting to hear an actual NFL person go over their reasons why they choose QBs.

People act like Mahomes and Watson were somehow better prospects then Trubisky, sadly all 3 were seen as a bit weak. It was really a matter of which one was liked by what team. The only one to have real success went to the most stable team, no surprise. Deshawn is not exactly lighting it up in Cleveland, 5 combined TD's, 3 combined turnovers. But at least they are winning; and looks to be playing slightly better then last year.

Fields won't be our problem next year, so I just hope they have enough sense to get a better OC, OG, 2 good WR's to start along w/Moore and a better backup TE(Kmet sadly will be a round another 2 years minimum).

Hopefully the next DC can work something w/what he's been given for 1 year while they try and build this O up to something a mid vet or a rookie can work with.

And I have zero problem if the defense has to sit in the back seat for a year (like the offense has had to do for several years). I am not worried about wins/losses right now. I really want to see this offense fixed first, and then put resources into the D. And it's not like pumping resources into the D has mattered anyway. We still suck on defense. I think this old "Lovie Defense" that Eberflus is trying to run here, requires a crazy high level of talent (like it did with Lovie). And that level of resources pumped into supporting that tired old scheme means that the offense gets starved of talent. Why on earth would ANY Chicago Bears fan want to see that here? I don't. We gotta move on from Eberflus.

Here is a video from a guy I follow on YT. He is asking the same questions we are asking here about Eberflus and Getsy. Waring, he has a decent source of All-22 gam videos and has the software to highight, slow it down and replay. You get to see the same dumb-ass stuff repeatedly. It gets a bit sickening.
