If the Bears do not get the first pick of the draft and Caleb Williams is off the board, then who do you think we should draft? Here are a couple of rankings as of week-4 of the college season.
This one is NOT a ranking of talent, but just the QBR stats for the top-15 QBs this season. Yes, it's too early to hang much on this one. But I did find it interesting:

I think the Bears should do the most Bear thing possible--hire Dion Sanders and draft Shedeur Sanders in the first round.
Either that or hire a DC (Flores?) and trade down to draft a DT and CB in the first while collecting picks in the 24-25 draft because the QB draft class will be better.

Saw a comparison with Williams to Mahomes and Maye to Allen. They said Maye can look off defenders better and more pocket presence than Williams, whereas Williams has better ability to throw on the run and the odd passing angles of Mahomes. If that's even remotely true please draft Maye.

With our OLine, he'll always be on the run and need odd passing angles. I vote Wiliams!

I agree, big fan of Maye. And since there are rumors that Williams never wants to be a Bear because of how we treat QBs, we would have to take the second best QB in the draft anyway.
Until they get his OL/WR group fixed I'm still on board w/1-2 years Goff quality vet to fix the O before drafting a high qb that will require playing year 1. But if they go that route, they better find the one that works w/Getsy or the new OC, if they don't then it's just more same stuff different year.
When the Bears drafted Fields w/Nagy still here it made no sense b/c he wanted a guy like Mac Jones, it screamed Nagy was getting fired. Don't do the same thing this time around.
