Didn't get to see the game live, but as I've said all along, this teams receivers wouldn't start on a playoff caliber team outside of Moore. No one can get separation. What I do find encouraging is that Fields was throwing to nfl open WR's, not waiting for college open. If there is even a sliver of hope, it's that he's willing to do it, and some were well thrown balls that the WR's didn't come down with and should have.
OL did a decent job at times, and other times they were outmatched, no surprise, again this O lacks playoff caliber players. I had been thinking maybe Getsy needed to start calling 1 read plays and telling Justin to count to three and let it rip no matter how covered the play was, just to get him used to throwing to nfl open guys, but it seems they have at least figured that out.
Jenkins is agreeing a bit also. The plays and targets aren't getting it done. At least this week, Fields wasn't the issue. Wasn't perfect, Fields had a few poor plays also, but it wasn't just him.

+1 Ric, I'm not trying to defend Fields, but in all honesty the WRs are failing to get open on WAY too many plays. I was at the Chiefs game. I do think you get a better perspective of how open (or not) the WRs are, when you can see the entire field at a game. On Sunday there were some open WRs at times. But it was not good. Claypool and Mooney (yes, Mooney) are just not getting it done with any consistency. Teams KNOW this and can focus on Moore... if they can make life difficult for DJ then our passing game is pretty much a nothing-burger.
Regarding the OL, you hit the nail on the head. There are snaps where they get it done. But often (way too often) one of the 5 guys doesn't get it done and it's a "house of cards" for that play - it just falls apart.
There are layers of failure on this offense. Yes, no question, Fields is one. One of several. But, yeah, the WR unit blows chunks.

Playcalling is questionable to. I think it was Jenkins that said there are multiple times he has no idea what the idea of the play is and couldn't grade it. And other times he said that the Bears ran that play so many times in the past the def was ready for it. The entire thing is rotten

So true but are the same plays being called because Justin can only play with these sets or is it because the rest of the offence can't seem to run the other plays?
It is so hard to believe that we are talking about the same stuff over and over again lol.
How does the Coach get a grasp of this? Absolutely mindboggling.
Let's hope that the next hire/fire wave will fix all these issues but like others have said. Somehow the Owners have to be removed from the GM/Coach hires.

This guy got a job b/c he was OC of Rogers in GB. Here he has Fields and not much else, and there are questions all over the field, including the QB, about knowing the offense play calling.
He talks about what you are saying though. Why are they doing this? He doesn't have an answer. My guess is it's a bit of everything.
Fields struggles with Zone coverage and multiple reads:
"This is because spot-drop zone attacks one of the biggest weaknesses in Fields' game -- his sense of timing when throwing into the gaps (or 'soft spots') within 7-man zone coverages. Fields wants to see his man cleanly break open, and in the NFL that's often too late. Thus, Fields would check it down.
This defensive game plan & result may sound familiar to you, because it's exactly what Green Bay did in Week 1. It's also what Todd Bowles' Buccaneers team pivoted towards in Week 2 after their blitz-heavy approach led to a gashing on the opening drive. These defenses sat back in zones, fenced Fields into the pocket, and waited for him to come to them. In those games, he did."
Good points. Gonna be a lonnnnnnnggggggg season of fail...
