Claypool, Nate Davis raise alarming FA red flags for Poles

I had totally forgot about Patrick.  But yeah, you're right.  Did you see those snaps?  He can't snap worth a crap, he can't pass block worth a crap - and he sure as heck is pitiful run-blocking.  Why on earth would we WANT a guy like this?  This guy, IMHO, is not even a good backup.  Dude totally sucks.  What is he DOING in our lineup starting against the Packers?  If our depth players are worse than Patrick then Poles totally screwed up this OL for 2023.  How does this situation even happen?  I get it, Jenkins, the glass-man, got the annual IR injury and is gone.  Did they not consider what we could do when Jenkins inevitably would go on his annual IR trip?  

I wonder if the new President/CEO Kevin Warren is putting some heat on Poles this week?  A lot of the things that are wrong with the team right now, are Poles related.  Granted, coaches and players - a small army of guys are responsible for the crapfest we are seeing.  But it begins with Poles in some of these areas.  

Claypool, traded for, for well over market value mid season, b/c Poles decided to draft 2 DB's in the 2nd instead of getting a WR, instead waiting for V Jones later in the draft, who was a healthy scratch against the Packers (per post games I listened to).  There is a reason Pitt wanted this dud gone, and we got to see it last year and Sunday; and we gave them the 32 pick in the draft for the honor of watching him collect a paycheck while doing nothing; much like Davis.

Davis, FA move, problem is not w/this move at face value, but w/the fact Poles used it as an excuse to no draft an OG or OC. Leaving the team with, what looked like, 1 reliable OG 2 bad OC's and the better 1 of those to backup OG when Jenkins went down. Davis leading up to week 1 created a ton of red flags and Poles did nothing. 


Both deserve to be benched or cut after what they did this past offseason and week 1. Poles and Flus' w/his "hits" principle both deserve the hot seat also, how can you be the HC that preaches this BS principle and have 2 guys that collected loafs all offseason leading up to wk 1 like they were in Russian mafia's bread blackmarket? 1 started, the other was allowed to be announced as the 13th starter. F'n joke.

I know its only two years in but he is not looking like the "boy genius" we all thought at the start?
