I'm more optimistic than you. Have you looked at the 2023 schedule in any detail?
We have two Thursday night games that give us a "mini bye" week. We start with GB at home. Then four games out of the division, ending with a Thursday game against the Washington Commanders (I still prefer the 'Skins) on 10/5. Our 6th game is against the Vikings at home on 10/15. Then we play 4 games out of the division, ending with the Thursday game against the Panthers on 11/9. The next game is our third divisional game at the Lions on 11/19. We then have a long week with the next game on Monday at the Vikings. Then our normal bye week.
The rest of the schedule is pretty intense. But I am hoping that most of our draft choices work out pretty well and we get serious improvement in both offensive and defensive play. It will take at least half of the season to get the rookies up to speed with NFL play (if we're lucky) and so by the time we come back from the bye week, we are rested and (hopefully) healthy. With some luck, I can see us with a 4-2 divisional record. And if we go .500 or better against the non-divisional opponents, we could have a 10+ win seasin.
I went with 25% chance. I don't know what to make of the NFC North. Seems like any team has a legitimate chance at winning the division, so 1 of 4 is 25%!
Not because I'm a hater, but I think Detroit is the favorite. My Vikes should be fighting for the division in December. Who knows about Green Bay? I just think it's too soon for the Bears. I'm pretty nervous about this coaching staff, development of Fields, the culture/the way the team fights, etc. - but I think it'll take another season for the Bears.
I get it that nobody really knows for sure at this time. But it is an interesting thought. Can they? What are the probabilities that happens?

I think we can beat Packers and Vikings. I worry about getting eaten by a Lion. I don’t like any of these choices. It’s better than 25% but less than 50%. I’ll say 40%. I’ll up it to 50% if the defensive line is decent. The offense will be fine.
25% chance. On paper, which is all we have right now, no one in the division stands out as a clear-cut powerhouse. Of course when the games starts it can all change and we'll find out who is legit.

That's pretty much my thinking too. While anything is possible, that doesn't mean it is probable. I'd put their chances at around 25% right now. But that's just a wild guess. A case could be made for each of the other teams in our division to win it too. Lions are stacked with talent and SHOULD win. But then again, they've fallen short so many times in the past that who knows if they'll live up to their talent this year? The Packers don't have AR, but I could see them winning the division without him. Not saying it WILL happen. But I could very well see it play out that way. The Packers are more than just Rodgers. That's a pretty darned good team there. Is Love good enough? Well he could be. If not, well then they can try to draft a QB next year. The Packers have 4 QBs in the Hall of Fame. They seem to have a knack for evaluating good QBs.
And the Vikes? Yes, I can see them winning the NFCN too... again, WILL it happen? Don't write them off just because some of us don't take Cousins seriously. He is capable of getting a division title IMHO.
So what about the Bears? I can see it happening. Our O was scoring 19+ points a game last year with a horrible passing game. This year if they could up that PPG 4 points it would put us in the top-10 in scoring offense. The defense should be much improved this year. I don't see the Armageddon thing with our edge pressure. Yes we need to upgrade that component. But the rest of the D should be much improved and the edge rushing should be "better than last year" even with the guys we have now. Run stopping was a big problem last year and THAT should be fixed this year. Getting back to the O, Fields should be amazing this year. The passing game will be solid. The run game should be one of the best in the entire NFL. Yes, I could see the possibility of the Bears winning the NFCN. Not saying it WILL happen. But they have a shot.
