Erik Lambert over at SportsMockery has an article this morning about why Jaylen Johnson has been missing from the first Bear's OTA practices. This includes a 69 second snip from the ESPN2 video of Jaylen's interview. This focuses on Jaylen being at home with his daughter.

However, if you go to the audio podcast of the entire interview, you can hear that there is a lot more going on than just Jaylen spending a lot of time with his family. The interview begins around 24:40 into the audio recording. The interview covers a lot more than just what Lambert is discussing in his article. And Jaylen says he will be at the last of the OTAs next week.

IMO Jaylen legitimately has a lot going on but I'm sure he would like to talk to the Bears about an extension.
