Former Bear QB Erik Kramer on Justin Fields, Ryan Poles, etc

I thought his criticism of Roquan Smith at the end of his tenure with the Bears was very telling. I don't have all the game videos of the '21 and '22 seasons so I couldn't do my own eval on Smith. But assuming there is truth to Kramer's assessment of Smith's play, it makes his trade very easy to understand. Smith had a history of extremely contentious contract negotiations and assuming he wasn't playing with 100% effort all the time, IMO Poles did what he could to recoup some value from what was becoming a very toxic situation.
