I was invited by PFF to be a Beta Tester for their new season simulator. The simulator contains the most recent personnel acquisitions, losses, etc., and will be adjusted through this first season as a test bed. Testers will be able to adjust line-ups (starters, etc.) and it supposedly will give game-by-game results from every regular season week along with performance grades and overall grades. I got my access today and I don't have time to click into all the minute details right now, but I ran the full season for the game results.
Thing is buggy as hell.
If it's any consolation, on the first run the Panthers finished with a better record. Wait...
This is very Madden-like as a season simulator. There's no rhyme or reason.
When I get time, I'll go through the stats (because I have to) and I'll post what I can.

"In the Year Twenty and 3, during the third millennium after the ascension, a great beast will emerge from the dirt under which is buried the city of Districtus, and it will consume the norsemen, ursus and bouchier and bring them to it's heel. The people will pay it in idols and much gold. And the David will wail in great angst." ~ Nostrilthumbup
Interesting, but it will be a good test of PFFs numbers as predictive (if they are trying to do that way.)
However there is a game missing (unless I counted wrong)--the second Vikings game. I have a hard time believing 1-4 (without the second Vikes game) is our division record. Don't think they win against the Chiefs

Yeah, every simulation is missing two games. Haven't heard why yet.
