The 2022 draft class in their 2nd season (fantastic read)

It's Greg Gabriel's take on the 2nd year players - from a professional scout's take. It won't please the meatballs who obviously know it all, and have pronounced the doom and gloom.
It is a good read because it is something positive. The Bears added some very good young pieces in 2022. We have more talent on-boarding now in 2023 that will join them. This isn't an in depth read but it does point out some positives about the young players on the roster (from last year) who should take off this 2nd year. One guy he is high on is practice squad OL Ja'Tyre Carter. He really likes him. He says he may be our center at some point.
But he absolutely LOVES the Braxton Jones LT acquisition:
"He went on to play every snap of every game, which is a rarity for a fifth-round OLineman. While he still needs to get better, I feel that he has unlimited potential. Coming from FCS Southern Utah, he didn't get the coaching or development that he would have gotten from a Power-5 school. As we saw, he needs to develop his lower body strength so that he can anchor in a more consistent manner. With his work this off-season he has taken care of that "problem," and it's my feeling that not only will he show improvement, but he will be on his way to becoming one of the better left tackles in the League. Few have his natural traits as far as height, length, natural size, speed and overall athleticism. His traits are equal to a premium round left tackle. He just needed to "catch up," and I feel he has. Paired with first-round tackle Darnell Wright, the Bears have their bookend tackles for years to come."
