Anyone know if Floyd will play? I wanna see more of that guy, he needs to put more consistent pressure on the QB
Floyd has come on nicely. Great to see what Vic has been able to do with a raw guy with talent. Imagine what he could be like with more bulk so that opponents don;t keep breaking him.
After today's win, Floyd's the rookie sack leader with 7 total this season. He's only played in 9 games too and a couple of those games he saw limited action due to injury. Pretty stellar stuff from the much maligned Bears first rounder.
I'd add here, it's always awesome to watch your team win. I was excited coming into the game and I'm more excited exiting it. Without Cutler, I think this is a decent team. Cutler was /is the Albatross this team carries on their sinking ship. The Log can game plan for 'lesser talent.' Good to see Barkley get the start and play well. Good to see Howard run the rock so effectively. Good to see Meredith make some good grabs. AWESOME to see this defense stonewall the Niners at Soldier field.
WHile our overall record is pathetic (3-9) our home record isn't too bad: 3-3 and we're 2-1 against NFCN opponents - Simply trying to find some silver linings my friends.

I'm just gonna come out and say it.
Floyd >>> McPhee
McPhee's over. I think his knee is screwed up bad. I say this sincerely: I hope he retires and saves his body from the additional wear and tear - that knee is gonna be one bitch to manage as he ages. Dude's gonna need a joint replacement by the time he's 35 - maybe multiple joint replacements. I don't wish that on anyone especially not a professional athlete whose life (beyond the financial aspect) has always centered around physical gifts.

+1 I'm one of the "high draft pick" guys, but I have to admit it felt good to see the team not only winning today, but also looking pretty good doing it. Some "positives" about the season:
1. Vic Fangio has kept us with a very respectable defense in spite of the injury woes. 2. Barkley & Howard look solid. 3. Pace found Barkley on waivers & Howard in the 5th round of the draft. A number of the young pace guys r looking good. 4. We may criticize Fox, but the players are still playing hard for him, unlike the players under Marc Trestman. 5. Loggains unit has been hurt even worse by injuries than Fangio's, but he is making chicken salad out of chicken shit right now. Gotta give the guy SOME credit. Fair is fair.

Isn't that something? I have to be honest.... I did not see that coming when we drafted him.
