Hoping they trade him for a 1 and 2 or he just retires.
I was wondering, what's the public opinion up there in WI? Does the majority of fans still want AR back so you have at least another shot at the SB next season, or are you guys ready to move on and give the job to Jordan Love?

9 in 10 that i talk to want to move on. Esp if we can get two firsts for him like Peter King suggests... If he's on team this year we will be buried in cap moving forward. Lets see what Love can do... If he sucks, next year is a good QB year.
Maybe, though Brady had some of his best years from 39 on. Most people that watched the Packers this year. Don’t believe Roger’s lost it in 12 months. All it takes is for one team to decide they are a quarterback away.

I don’t know what team is a QB away. Maybe the Ravens, if Jackson is traded, holds out, or who knows.
What makes this crazy is not that he can’t still play. It’s that it’s quite possible that he retires in another year. You sacrificed the price of a young star player for a guy who may retire after just one more year. It’s too unpredictable.
if I were a QB away, I would offer him a 3-yr. contract with nearly all the money in years 2,3 loaded in the roster bonus and nothing guaranteed. Take it or leave it. Call it a conditional commitment.

Jets. Titans, Raider. Maybe Niners, Colts. Carolina. I could see the compensation being a first this year and future conditional pick. Rodger did say if he plays he’ll need to adjust his contract to a cap friendly number this year. Who knows. You may be right and all they get is a third for him. We’ll see

It would be crazy to give up a 1 and 2 plus pay his huge salary for a guy who may easily decide to retire in another year.
The other thing to consider is both the Raiders and the Jets have coaches on the hot seat. Raiders actually also have a GM on the hot seat. Neither would have a problem mortgaging the future to save their skin. The Jets probably are a QB away from making the run in the AFC... A lot of ppl say well the packers only got a conditional pick for Favre (3rd round. Would have been a first rounder had Favre not got hurt and the Jets made the playoffs) but you have to remember that trade happened on the eve of training camp in July when teams had already conducted their draft and off season program, so there wasn't multiple teams driving the price up. Rodgers is still a top five QB at 39. Brady won a SB at 43. Most ppl in the know see a down year for Rodgers and understand he had no help, a bad offensive line until late in the season and played with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. He takes amazing care of himself and moves way better now than Brady did in his 20's... Rodgers only SB win happened when he had a top five defense. The Jets have that (and weapons).
