I won't write White off because the kid has obvious talent but needs to get his head screwed on and keep his focus. The biggest issues are really with the OL where once again what talent is left is either inexperienced or lacking in talent. Edison is clearly not NFL material now and probably never will be and Larsen is what he is. A low level vet whose managed to hang on somehow due to his versatility and toughness. He was a decent enough pickup as a backup OG but he's not starter material in any top NFL OL.Fox wasn't joking when he said losing Grasu was a kick in the gut and that's about as divulgent as he's been with his feelings about an injury all preseason. Once Ramirez retired OC all fell to Grasu and when he went down it was like a house of cards for the rest of the OL. Next to a QB the OC is the second most critical guy on the offense as far as maintaining stability and we lost it.
I was really impressed with Grasu in TC. In the off-season he had put on 10 - 15 pounds and had added a total of 20 - 25 pounds of muscle mass. The little I saw of him the day I went to TC, he was not getting beat. Hicks got him once in the sub package (where he was playing DT) but by pulling a game and not by overpowering him. I was reading TC reports that he was totally stoning Goldman. I have a very high opinion of Goldman and think he is on the verge of being one of the leagues premier NTs.
One of the things I found most depressing about yesterday's game was the lack of physicality by our OL. If you are going to successfully run the ball you have to be able to push the DL off the ball. I did not see that against KC. Maybe it was there for a flay or two. But if it was, I missed it.
Update:
Did CornWash get injured again? I saw him go in and blow up a play and immediately came out and it looked like he was limping.
