Marty was 7 for 7 on Sunday, and I doubt he was running anything that wasn't what Belicheck and Brady told him to. Good coaches and good players create that in "trouble players".
And again, more yards more td's on as many targets and Miller has receptions. Btw, Bennett has 1 drop this year, and last year he had 2.

OK, then tell you what. If you believe all this about Marty B and others who leave then if Cutler ends up taking his next team into the playoffs and maybe to a SB will you admit that most of HIS problems were bad coaches and a bad supporting cast too.
If not then none of this argument holds water and you know it.
Miller has had one drop or none depending on how one sees a pass in the Minny game and Bennett had more than 2 drops last year. I can recall a single game with more than that. Maybe he's a difference maker in NE but he sure as hell wasn't here in terms of us winning more because of him.
Everyone tends to be happier and play better when the team is winning. That's no revelation. That's why that team is winning. It's like saying rain is wet Ric.
Two weeks ago we had an entire locker room full happy, over confident, cocky players and Jay was their guy. This week they've lost their confidence in him and everyone is looking to point the blame at anyone but themselves. Duh.
I'm beginning to think most of these guys need to be on drugs. Either that or I do because it's all worthless. No one player loses or wins a game. Everyone contributes both ways.
There's plenty of talent here. Enough to at least be a .500 team or better and this year .500 so far would have us in contention for the NFCN lead and we can't even do that. It's the bullshit coaching job Fox has done ever since he arrived with a rep intact for precisely what has happened. He had enough talent in Denver and playing in a weak division back then to let it slide but not here and not now. He's lazy and lackadaisical and it shows.
So I don't buy how talent poor this team is. Get a decently motivated HC in here and we'll start winning games because we aren't gonna win with the old fool we have now.

TE isn't our Problem. Coaching is. Turning the ball over is. Having half your good guys out with injuries doesn't help either. Miller is a stopgap that's just that.
1. We need to continue to upgrade our roster talent (including the QB among other positions). 2. We need to upgrade our coaching talent.
These two are not mutually exclusive needs. We need to improve BOTH of these on our team. In fact, BOTH of these are such critical needs that I believe we will never see another championship here until we DO improve both.
Soul Cutler will be lucky to be the starter on his next team; and if he is it won't be on a team on the verge of the playoffs.
That's your opinion Ric but a it stands there are probably at least three or four team whose QBs are failing even worse than Cutler. Make him a UFA and he won't be unsigned for long. It doesn't have to be a team on the verge of the playoffs either. I never said that.
What I posted was if he eventually takes his team to the playoffs and better will you admit that much of his problems here were centered on poor coaching and equally poor support. That's simply the counter thrust to what you posted about Marty B brother.
Everyone is happier when their team is winning but the Bennett brothers make a point of letting the whole world know what mood they're in. How happy has Michael been in Seattle when things don't go his way. When you use the Bennett Bros as an example it falls on deaf ears with me Ric. Those two are the biggest cry babies in the NFL
Through the first 8 game both Miller and Bennett had 3 TD catches and less than 10 yards separated them in terms of total yardage. The fact that Marty is playing for NE automatically gave him an edge. It was only this last game where Marty pulled ahead and we both know why that is. Give it another few weeks and the results might reverse themselves.
Bennett is a good TE but so is Zach Miller and he's the guy we have so enough with the Marty Bennett crap. He's gone and I'm not sorry about that at all. Let's see if he's still in NE next season when it comes time to talk money.
I didn't say he wouldn't go unsigned, he just won't be going to a SB contender.
Why are you cherry picking stat's. Where are they at right now? Bennett is a legit 2 way TE playing behind one of the best TE's in the game. Miller is the #1 TE and has more targets then Bennett has rec's.
Miller is a boarderline starter, and is not a good blocking TE; and his rec's don't make up for that fact, he is not Olsen.

And I didn't say he'd be signed by a contender. Read what I posted please. I asked you IF he eventually led his team to the playoffs and even a SB would you admit that it wasn't all Jay. That coaching, lack of support, and generally shitty teams played their part. Stick to what I posted not your own interpretation of it.
Whose cherry picking? I posted that until this last game they were about as dead even in stats as they could be. This week Marty is about 75 total yards and a TD ahead of him but that could also change in a matter of a few games. Miller had more receptions so he's ranked higher for that whereas Bennett has more yardage but it's not like he's left him behind in the dust and this comes after a pathetic game by Cutler and our offense.
So is your whole contention based on the results of just one game based on current stats? That's a pretty thin evidence so call me out on it in January if you like but not now.
You want to contend that Marty is only the #2 TE which he is but also in an offense that often has both playing simultaneously. Miller is the # TE in a rotation where we seldom throw when we do use two TEs and he shares snaps. It's two different offenses so it's apples and onions. What happened when both played here? Miller ended up smoking him in the second half of the 2015 season which is why he's here and Marty was traded.
Ric, look at what they produced here not what Bennett is doing playing with NE with Tom Brady at QB for cryin' out loud. Whether it was him, Cutler, Fox, Gase, or the little devils and angels who help chose your way of looking at it Bennett did not outproduce Miller in 2015. He'd also become an problem child over is contract and would have again in 2016 thereby pretty much forcing his own trade.
We got out from under him for a fair return, still have a very good receiving TE who isn't a horrible blocker and maybe we get even luckier if Hall turns out to be a very good starting CB eventually. Ya' gotta look at the big picture brother not just that little keyhole you keep peering through.
You said IF he goes to the playoffs, only way that happens is IF he gets signed to a contender.
Why did you STOP at the last game? Look at all the #'s.
Seldom thrown to? He has 1 less Target then Witten as as many as Walker. He's pretty much at the top of the TE target list, w/the only one that stands apart from everyone else being Olsen. The first major grouping of TE's is at 57-65, Miller is at 62; Bennett is at 47.
He was smoked in the 2nd half of the season b/c he was playing injured. Ya lets give it to Miller for outplaying an injured player. Hurrah. That's how Langford got his job also; look how well that worked out.
