Seeing AJ at #32 really does make me wonder if he's worth the asking price.
He is if for no other reason than we don't have a true #1 WR without him. We've tried that before and it's failed so let's not do it again. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
According to this grading system, Amos is a quasi-stud.
Amos has been playing solid FB. He's def. an above average player. I think the grade is a bit high as a season average because of some early struggles in coverage, but he's improved on the backend and is a hammer in the middle.
Freeman is a stud. It's obvious out there especially when you compare last year with Shea and Jones.Â
Isn't Shea on a similar kind of deal with NE? Like 12 million for 3 years? How is he grading out?
Just checked. 3 year 9 million with 3.5 guaranteed. They seem to have moved him back to DE? 5 tackles 4 assists.
I don't have PFF access so I don't know how many hurries he has caused, angry glares from teammates, nervous farts in his direction from the QB, or sneezes from lineman from the extra NE pixie dust off his shoulder that once again transformed him into a defensive end.
Yeah, Bears definitely got an upgrade with Freeman.
Shea's grade is horrible - 45 - with excessively low marks in run support and pass rushing.
