Dowell Loggains Does His Homework During Bears’ Bye

Speaking of what people have been asking for...the bootlegs and rolling pockets that Cutler thrived with early in his career were on prominent display that Halloween Night.  While Loggains is taking over Gase's offense, I am seeing a lot more of the Shanahan offense he helped run in Cleveland and it's working better now.  I have heard rumbles on these message boards that Loggains should be retained if Cutler is, but really this offense is tailor-made for a rookie QB as well.  It relies on a strong running game and high percentage, move the chains, throws.  If Loggains really sharpens his play calling this season...I would totally trust him to develop a young quarterback.

Maybe following this team has lowered by expectations and there was a time that I thought John Shoop was a great hire as well, but I am really starting to like our OC.  There were some growing pains, but I think that if we get him some solid weapons...his offense could begin to rival the one his former employer is running down in Atlanta right now.
