Get a OT in the 1st(if Mac Jones goes ahead of you) and draft a developmental QB in the 2nd or 3rd; 2nd if it's not a guy that only played 1 yr 3rd if it is, if not the 2nd draft another WR, or EDGE. 3rd QB at the latest. FA get a LT or RT 2 2 WR's, a fast one to backup Mooney and a possession WR. Seems you need an ILB and DB also.
Did you see TB/GB yesterday, ya they scored but did you see how hard it was at times? That's what I expected out of the BEARS Def; and people acted like it was absurd to expect a Def to make it hard for a great QB and their O, and maybe hold them to a punt or FG a few times a game. It is possible to slow up even the greats, and this Def should have and needed to last year.
I agree with ya. Regarding the OT in the first round, I have been running those draft tools (I know it's just a "game" thing) but holy cow there are some dream LTs available in the first round. Guys who could be solid as a rock at LT for the next 10+ years there. I'd prefer we go that route instead of drafting the #5 or #6 QB in that first round.
When you're picking at #20 like we are, you're usually looking at either A) RT prospects or B) LT prospects who are gonna need at least a year before playing the left side.
I get your point though--it's way better to get a good OT prospect than a bad QB. We will just have to see how it shakes out -- it's just too early to know how "BPA" sorts out.
And by the way, I loathe "BPA" because it is nonsense. The only GMs that draft "BPA" are those that already have a perfect roster, which are pretty much none. Basically, EVERY GM considers need and positional value whether they admit (which they don't) or not.
