"Wilkerson and Richardson treat mandatory team meetings as if they’re optional, and Bowles is sick of it...Perhaps one of the reasons the Jets are such a disappointing team this season is that players who don’t show up to work get rewarded with big contracts. It’s hard to get your team working hard when their highest-paid teammates are slacking."

BMarsh brought his attitude with him and maybe it's contagious.
BMarsh never had a problem showing up to meetings or taking the job serious, that was Briggs(when Trestman was here). Marsh's problem is he hates losing, and looking bad doing it.
Marty didn't have problems taking his job serious either for that matter, just had a problem w/the team not willing to talk contract negotiations. Dude was a goofball, but when playing played.
Sounds like these guys think they don't have to do anything. Wilk had 2 good years out of 5, one in a contract year and thought he should get top money. He's averaged 6.5 sacks a year, that doesn't really deserve elite money. Richardson is likely following Wilks "leadership". Neither of these guys are playing well right now either(if they are being paid to rush the passer.

I agree with you that Brandon comes to play but he's like and albatross who trouble follows to every team he's ever been on and with him loyalty is not a two way street.
Not only did he put Cutler down a bit for the Bears miseries when he was in Chicago but this past weekend he got in Fitzy's face and one of the Jets CBs had to step between them and separate them. This is the same QB he was lobbying the team to sign all winter and spring. Brandon often says one thing but does something 180 degrees opposite that. It's not like this is the first team he's ever been on he's had problems with Ric.
We've said it before. His first year is a honeymoon with his new team and then slowly but surely the problems begin if they aren't winning. Yes he wants to win, but when so many of you like to ride Cutler for his pouts (which actually aren't) look a little closer at Marshall. If team isn't winning he will get in the face of everyone on the team including the PK and Punter and he will do it very very vocally in public and in the locker room. I understand his mental issues as well as anyone but the guy also has a serious lack of filters at times and it comes out often.
As far my other post it was really said in jest. Whatever issue Mo and Richardson may have belong to them not BM.
Hey I was fully on board w/BMarsh getting traded, he does w/out question wear out his welcome; but I'm not going to put Wilk and Richardson on him; I don't think he has that kind of influence on a locker room.

No he isn't, and that not exactly what I meant. It was more BM expecting concessions because he is who he is and likes to do things his way. But no, when he plays he plays.
