Gruden must be going crazy over this game. Raiders deliberately did not try to score from the 1 yard line to run down the clock and kick the "winning" field goal. That left the Dolphins on their own 25 after the kickoff with ZERO TIME OUTS and only 19 SECONDS on the clock and needing a FG to win.
So Ryan Fitzpatrick completes 34-yard pass to Collins on the sidelines and he goes out of bounds with 12 seconds on the clock. A 15-yd. penalty was added on the play, because they grabbed Fitz's face mask and nearly pulled his head off as he released the ball. Then the Dolphins kick 42 yd. FG to win the game with one second on the clock.
I sure would not have wanted to be a Ravens fan rooting for Raiders in this game. Ravens can still get in, but this would have made it a lot easier for them.
Maohomes said it was the greatest "no look" pass of all-time. That is especially true when you consider that the whole game and Dolphins play-off chances were on the line in this one play.
And I didn't even mention the other long TD plays in the last 5 minutes that flipped the game back and forth. This whole thing was truly amazing the way it played out.
