The Monsters of the Midway came back from the dead on Halloween.
- Cutty had a decent game even though the first quarter was rough - Another great game by Howard - no more needs to be said - OL did a pretty good job - allowed only one sack - Floyd looking better lately - Nice pressure from the DL (especially Hicks) - Barth not missing FGs - Just two penalties

Sorry had to go mistake-free Cutty. With noodle arm in there Howard would've been keyed on. Plus Cutty got the ball to Jeffery in the end zone. Love Howard. Great 70 yard run, great run on the forward lateral, the TD he could've cart-wheeled in.
Howard.. However, the person who get his ass whipped should be CornWash for that stupid penalty..
In Corny's defense everyone else on the field was walking around like the play was over and in that noise the sideline isn't the best place to hear the whistle. While technically correct I thought the call was pretty lame considering the situation on the field.
The thing I was so impressed about the win was that the Bears beat the Vikes without a lot of lucky calls and things going our way. Minnesota recovered both fumbles and recovered on that fluky backwards pass thing. Nor did Vikes get a bunch of penalties that helped out the Bears. The Bears beat them fairly and demonstrably. Here's hoping this game wasn't an aberration and is a sign of things to come.

That makes a big difference when we make them have to honor a downfield passing attack doesn't it? I've been pretty amazed at how many fans and media types never got that. Shoot Cutler had even "Chucky" singing his praises tonight. That's a first.
I'm gonna give out more than one because this was a total team effort.
Cutler gets one for giving Fox a free lesson on how well he can actually move an offense once he's healthy and no longer handcuffed by a HC whose and offensive moron.
Howard gets one for the best game by a Bears RB against a top defense this year. He's not gonna win many footraces with DBs but man when he or Carey hit that line you can hear it and they are not going down easy. Lameford is now the back of the bench #3 RB where he should be.
Zach Miller gets one for getting open and being a reliable second option and safety valve for Cutler all night. Seven receptions from ten targets for 86 yards and most of them chain movers.
Half a game ball to AJ for finally getting back in the game and making several key catches including a clutch TD grab.
Game ball to a depleted OL for buckling up their chinstraps and playing their best game of the year. We had 400 yards of total offense, a very balanced attack, and a nice TOP advantage most of the game.
On the defense it has to be Hicks, Freeman, and Trevathan who get a whole ball and I'll give a half to Floyd, McPhee, and Young for constant pressure. Best the pass rush has looked this year but then it was against a very poor OL. Nice to see were aren't always worst in that regard.
I'm even gonna give CWash a pass for that bozo penalty because our guys never pursued the ball like they should have. That reminded me of that TD the Porkers scored off a fumble everyone thought was an incompletion. Don't f'n think! Just cover the f'n ball! There should be some major league ass chewing happening on film day over that one.
And finally the golden phfbtttttttt to John Fox. Your boys may just have saved your unworthy ass from a midseason buh bye tonight you old has been.
