We're approaching the halfway point of the season and while certain players might flash in week 8, that doesn't make them the studs of the midseason marker. For my next article I want to do a recap of the studs and duds of Fangino's (sp) and Fangina's defense up the halfway point. I certainly have my opinions: Freeman, Hicks, Young and Amos, but I wanted to get feedback from ya'll cause ya'll got better Bear's Goggles than me.
Considering the overall shape of the Bears team I've actually been pretty impressed with the defense as a whole. There biggest problem is that they can't put a full game together. With a better offense and some more pressure on the QB I really think this is a top 15 defense soon.

I agree, we need the O to stay on the field longer to give the D a bit of a break. The longer the D stays off the field the hungrier they will get. We have to FEED DEM!!!!

The defense has been good until mid third or early fourth quarter every week, with an exception against the cowgirls. Given the Bears offensive time of possession (ToP) This is rather impressive, and is a credit to the coaching.

Freeman has been a stud and is the best FA signing I've seen by the team since getting Peppers, and Freeman came cheap. I don't what the Colts were thinking by letting him go. Salary cap or not.
Hicks seems to be doing well too but it's hard to tell with the rest of the DL being so poor.
