We'll see, but I think this was one of the ones saying the Bears were dining w/Eli and were in the final stages of Bridgewater and were talking to every team that had a qb up for trade. Not sure they have sources as much as they follow bears stuff and retweet anything

Nah...he's NY based. I don't remember him talking about Eli to the Bears, he gets scoops on teams all over the place.

Ok, so this is hilarious if true. Step into the Wayback Machine, my boy Sherman, and let's reminisce about how bad of a general manager Jerry Angelo was.
The year was 2011. The Bears needed OT help and Gabe Carimi had inexplicably fallen to the mid 20s of the first round.
Jerry Angelo did not bother to question his good fortune, so he attempted to trade up from the 29th pick to the 26th pick with the Ravens by throwing in a fourth round pick.
I say attempted, because he and his staff was so incompetent, they could not pull off the complexities of such a trade within the allotted 15 minutes. So the Kansas City Chiefs rushed to podium and took Doug Baldwin ahead of the Ravens.
The Ravens were screaming bloody murder because now that KC had picked, Angelo didn't want to trade anymore. Because they knew the Ravens only had eyes for a cornerback.
That cornerback was Jimmy Smith.
So the Ravens said, "The hell with you Bears, we are taking Smith,". And that was how Angelo was able to get Gabe Carimi, yes the Gabe Carimi, with the oh so low 29th pick of the draft.
The Ravens tried to get a fourth round pick from the Bears, but they traded it away to move up in the second round for Stephen Paea. Yes, the Stephen Paea.
To think the Bears could finally land a good player from the 2011 draft, even if he's on his last legs.
