Cheeseheads beat Bears - who gets the deflated ball

Time of possession: 39:30 Packers 20:30 Bears. I think the strength and conditioning coach decided the best way to keep our defensive players fit is to leave them on the field and the best way to keep the offense healthy is to keep them off it. 

Yes that's true. I understand and agree. But those guys left us short on talent and short on picks, with some heavy contracts. The stench from those 2 will linger after the last of their players are gone. 2 years is not sufficient to repair the damage they've done. I fear fox is adding to that, and Pace either doesn't have the brains the guts or the authority to fire fox and start fixing this mess properly. It all starts and ends with the mccasskey family and protecting their cash cow. 

I bump that buck stop upstairs to the mccasskey. It's their team. Their business. Their cash cow. That's where the buck stops. Ted Philips needs to go. The family needs a guy to run a football team not the family business. This isn't a mom and pop store anymore. It's big business and needs to be run like a big business. Angelo Emery Pace trestman Fox, none of that really matters other than how badly the family gets embarrassed. When that happens They'll bring in different cows, but the bull running the herd is still the same - the mccasskeys.

I don't think Philips is involved in the day to day football decisions. Thats all on Pace. This crain business piece seems to describe Philips as the CEO of all football-related operations-tickets, fan experience, marketing and personnel. All the VPs report to him.

SO while Philips is ultimately Pace's boss, all decisions Pace makes are his own. As far as I can tell the only team president with playing experience is Mark Murphy in GB. These guys are CFOs not football guys and its like that around the league. With the salary cap, teams can't spend over a given amount and have to spend up to a given amount. So even there if he has any influence, its limited by those constraints. 

All that to say: This is a Pace/Fox team. They have replaced starters and depth players. Pointing to Philips, Angelo and Emery is IMO making excuses for Pace. Only 28 players are still on the team that won in GB last season, thats pretty good turnover.  The Bears have only 12 players and six starters remaining from the Emery/Trestman regime. Guys brought in to replace starters are Pace/Fox guys. Guys brought in to be depth are also Pace/Fox guys. Saying that the depth was so bad its not Pace's fault misses the point that...Pace/Fox have replaced those guys with their own guys. If the starters are bad, thats on Pace/Fox, if the depth is bad, thats also on Pace/Fox at this point. Are there starters that would be depth on other teams (and every team has those guys)? Sure, but those are still Pace/Fox guys. Some of this bleeds over onto Fangio and Loggains as well.  

I'm beginning that think that maybe MAYBE injuries give Pace a little more rope, Fox I'm not so sure about.
