I'm usually not a huge fan of throwing a rookie QB into the starting role just because he was the first pick. I prefer he earn that starting spot. I think we've all seen enough rookie QBs fail because they are forced to start right away on a very bad team.
Watson doesn't seem to have great accuracy and his decision making isn't the best.
I take Garrett and Peppers over both QBs in the first round.
I just don't like both QB options this year.
I don't think the top prospects at the time are all that great either but like I said before, a lot is going to change before the draft. The top rated QBs before the draft are going to be different. The Bears need to take a QB in one of the first three rounds this year and it wouldn't hurt to do it again next year.
You need to remember that we have no idea how good the QB class is going to be for next year. It could be worse than this year so you've got to grab one when you can now. The Bears to not have the luxury to wait.
