Not concerned about Dix at all. Just as long as he is healthy for the regular season. Keeping him out is a good thing right about now.
Considering the way Nagy played his starters last PS, there was little or no chance we would see him more than 2 or 3 series in the entire PS. Maybe he has PUP'ed him to free up a slot in the 90 man PS roster.
How are those Packers doing? What are your expectations for this year's team? Just curious.
Some of the standouts in the first few days have been: Zadrius Smith (constantly in the back field) DL Fadol Brown and rookie Keke Kingsley S Adrian Amos (impressive over the top) Second year WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling: He is big (6-4) and fast (4.37). After an impressive rookie year he, according to Rodgers, is starting to play fast and earning the trust of his QB (no easy task). QB Aaron Rodgers: While this may fall under the "Well Duh" category, it appears he's absorbing this system just fine.

Which is a wise move IMO. Guys like Hicks, Mack, Jackson, Fuller, Long, Leno, ARob, etc don't need to play a single down this PS. There is nothing to be gained that justifies risking an injury in a meaningless "game".

I can't speak to the others cuz I don't have the first clue about them but I can tell you that Amos is not an "over the top" safety. He's very solid in run support and near the LOS but if you're expecting him to be a ball-hawking center-fielder type of cover man I'm afraid you're very likely to end up disappointed.
He's a good and durable player but deep cover and INTs are clearly not his game. He started virtually game for the Bears in his 4 years here so there's plenty of tape on that.

I'm aware and it's why they drafted Savage in the first round. However my comment was that Amos has impressed over the top according to observers of practice.
Nagy is just being smart about these vets. He wants to get them to the regular season physically healthy, but also recognizing that they do need TC work to a certain extent. I'll bet he paces Dix so he gets plenty of rest for his knee between now and that 1st reglar season game. But he will get some reps and work too. Smart way to approach camp. If a guy gets hurt in camp, that's unfortunate, but they do have to have SOME work to prepare physically and mentally for the regular season. And as you pointed out in the TC thread, it benefits our offense to be working against great defense guys. But Nagy will also rest the vets plenty too. It's a balance.
