That is so cool. Nagy seems to understand how to best "connect" with these young players on their level. There is a lot of grinding during an NFL season - with ups-and-downs experienced the whole year. But being able to have fun anyway, is huge. It is also so important to have the close knit "family" vibe going with the team too. With 53 team members (90 now) it's never going to be perfect harmony all the time, but at least we don't have the locker room cancer of past years (like Brandon Marshall threatening teammates... even Robbie Gould).

B Marshal was a first class d-bag and every bit as selfish as anyone can be; but he wasn't wrong to call out Cutler. That entire locker room sucked; that was lack of leadership by the GM/HC/and coordinators. And a complete lack of leadership in the lockerroom.

+1 And I didn't fully appreciate how far this team has come, until I read those articles yesterday. I had forgotten just how far the team had spun out of control. I believe the early beginnings of this started during the latter years of Angelo/Lovie but the spiral went down exponentially under Emery/Trestman. When Ryan Pace walked into the Halas Hall mess it was a multi-year rebuild that few GMs could have turned around. Really it was a player-by-player rebuild of most of the roster - to root out the spreading disease. When a franchise rots to that level it can ruin a franchise for many years (Detroit and Oakland come to mind).
Ryan Pace has taken a crap franchise and perennial doormat team and in a relatively short time rebuilt it from the ground up - coaches, roster & the loser attitude. That attitude part is arguably the most important for building a championship team. Pace won't ever be perfect. He will make some mistakes... and some may be big ones, but overall he's an incredible GM. As long as he is our GM I feel like we will never have to be ashamed of the Bears team. We will have up-and-down years, sure, but that's different from 50-burger blowouts of a team that gives up in games and rolls over for the Packers every year. I got so tired of it all that I just about gave up on the Bears franchise. I felt like we had become the new-Detroit of the division. Then Ryan Pace arrived. I do praise God for that.
On an off-topic side note, how about those St. Louis Blues? I've been a fan for many years now, and last night they won to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time in almost 50 years. They were in last place in the NHL in January, and came back to go to the Finals. Great stuff.
