I understand when players try to cater to their new fanbase, but come on man! You made it to the pinnacle of your sport. Savor it! Hang on to it! Then tell us you want more of that with the Bears! lol

An interesting set of clips on Anthony Miller. I am really stoked to see how he performs with a year under his belt and able to play without the nagging shoulder injury. He could have a HUGE year 2.
On a side note, there are lots of folks doing really solid, in depth research and posting it on twitter. Like this guy, Matt Waldman. If you like his stuff, please take the time to follow him on twitter and show him some love!
Obviously it means a lot to him but he's right to keep his focus 100% on the new season with the Chicago Bears. Right attitude.
I can't tell you how lucky you are to have the LEGACY of Cordarelle Patterson in the locker room. Who could ever forget a player who averages 30 receptions a season and 23 touchdowns over 6 NFL seasons?
The egos some football players have is extraordinary.

I figure he's just one more cog in the wheel. Just one of many on this roster who individually may not stand out, but (hopefully) collectively, they can get it done this year for us. The Vikings invested a 1st round draft pick in him, and expectations were understandably high for him. But now he's just a return specialist and probably a gadget weapon for Nagy to use in his offense.

probably the same legacy that got shea mc a shot in NE for awhile also. then again at least your 1st rd bust found a rotational role in the league, Shea just busted out, even the great Belecheck couldnt save his career.
CP here is going to return some, catch some and run some. of he gets 30 recs and 30 rushes ill be kind of surprised.

Shea was a 1st round bust here in Chicago. I don't think he was a fit here from day-1, but they drafted him anyway. He did have one decent year for NE before he had his career ended by concussions. I did watch Shea that year he played there, and he contributed well and had some big plays in some big games, all the way to the Super Bowl win that year over Atlanta. No, he wasn't a star there, but like Belichick often does, he found a guy who in a small way helped contribute and the team won another Super Bowl that year.
This is how I think Pace is building the team here, and why a guy like CP is here. A great team can be built with non-stars supporting the main key players. These guys like CP (and the many players Belichick has brought in for a year or two... guys on the rebound in their careers) can contribute. It's not a great impact with one of these players, but the cumulative impact of having these guys on a team can be enough to win a championship. It's like that old saying, "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" where these bit players can add so much to a season's success. It may just be a key play in a key game that extends a season... but key all the same.
Getting back to Shea, after the 2016 Super Bowl year, he was on IR all of 2017 and tried to come back but couldn't get cleared to play due to the cumulative effect of his concussions incurred during his career. So his career was ended at a young age. He's always seemed like a good guy... just a nice kid from Idaho (born there, raised there and went to college there). Now he's a high school football coach there. I wish him luck. I think he gave the NFL the best he had, but he obviously wasn't a 1st round talent. Not his fault the Bears drafted him so high. It was a Bears mistake.
